Thank you all for a great experience!!!

Sorry it has taken me so long to put my final post on the website. So terrible how quick time flies by. It seems summer just started and Michael goes back to school in a month. I did become a grandma again during that time and was in Vegas for a couple of weeks. I know, no excuse.

The tournament may not have ended as we had all hoped, but for our family the experience of Michael being able to play with the other boys, as Rich Della Maggiore said, makes up for any trophy or banner they could have won. I know we'll look forward to playing Santa Clara next season so we can see all of you again.

I also want to thank everyone for the very cool Thunder Hawks cell phone cover. I'm sure I have the only one in the whole world :o) See picture to the right. It wasn't necessary at all for you guys to do something for me......but I love it!!!! And the mini Starbucks card. Used that already.

I've heard back from three families who ended up with blank picture disks. The picture guy says he's putting them in the mail on Monday and I will get them to you....I promise.

Have a safe and fun summer and we'll see you next season. I hope we can put together another Thunder Hawks tournament next summer!! We're in!!!!

Pizza, streethockey, swimming and more......

We survived the sleepover!! What a great group of kids. They were all very well behaved and polite. You would have been proud. They ate pizza, played street hockey, played Xbox, swam and stayed up too late talking. They didn't fall asleep until around 12:30 and we got them up at 6:30 to walk over to Waffle Barn. No complaining about waking up and they seemed ready to go. It was a fun weekend - we enjoyed having them!! We're so happy Michael gets to be a part of this. Thank you all!!!

First practice/tailgate party

We had our first dryland and practice. It was so hot in Roseville today but the boys worked hard at dryland. The rink didn't even feel that cold. Everyone loved the dryland t-shirts (thank you Mindy). The dark jerseys were a big hit (thank you Mike). The white jerseys will be ready by next Saturday. The stick outline was missing and it just looked bad without it. They are being fixed and I'll pick them up on Wednesday. The boys LOVED the jerseys!! They looked so good. Not so sure about the socks but I'll just have to get over it :o) We had our tailgate party in the back parking lot after practice. What a nice group we've put together - great kids AND parents!! We're looking forward to next weekend and our "bonding" sleepover. Check out the slide show for a few pictures I took during practice.

Thunder Hawks - the journey begins

After looking forward to joining these two teams for a tournament for several months, our first practice is now just two weeks away. Bruce Barragan and Jason Marconcini will be coaching a combination of the top two CAHA Bantam A teams. After a great season by both teams, everyone is looking forward to the Anaheim Ice Memorial Day Tournament May 22 - 25, 2009. These two teams fought hard at every meeting, but the mutual respect by both clubs will make for a great weekend!
